Basic Handling Skills (BHS) – Learner Licence

Getting your Learner Licence

For riders wanting to get their motorbike learner licence, there are two parts to complete:

  1. Passing the practical Basic Handling Skills Test to obtain a certificate
  2. Passing the Theory Test

Whether you’re completely new to riding with no clutch experience or a more practiced rider, we’ll teach you the required elements of the Basic Handling Skills Test before you sit the assessment.

Basic Handling Skills Training

DM Rider Training not only prepares you to pass the Basic Handling Skills Test but also teaches essential techniques for managing risks and hazards on the road. The training is equally valuable for riders returning after a break and wanting a refresher. A small motorcycle is provided for you to use.

What's the cost?

60-minute training ("Refresher") including BHS Learner test $199
120-minute training ("Foundation") including BHS Learner test $299
BHS Learner test only $140
